As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for timepieces that reflect my adventurous spirit and love for intricate designs, I find these new Seiko Presage Cocktail Time watches absolutely captivating! With their roots deeply entrenched in Japanese cocktail culture, they exude a mysterious allure that resonates with the enigmatic nights spent in virtual Tokyo.
Seiko has introduced two exclusive timepieces, based on the Presage Cocktail Time series, into their collection. These new watches take their design influence from the celebrated Star Bar in Ginza, reflecting Japanese cocktail traditions.
These designs, available in two sizes (45.5 mm and 30.3 mm), draw inspiration from “Night Time Tokyo,” an innovative mix crafted by Star Bar’s renowned bartender, Hisashi Kishi. The dials boast a captivating black-to-gray gradient, reminiscent of the drink’s deep color, and feature a finely textured finish that mimics the ice in a cocktail glass. Gold-toned indices and hands adorn the watch faces as a tribute to the drink’s title, also echoing the bright city lights of Tokyo at night.
Two models, each equipped with Seiko’s self-winding 4R35 caliber that offers a power reserve of 41 hours, are limited in production. Specifically, 9,000 larger units will be sold for around £480 GBP ($640 USD), while only 6,000 smaller ones are available for approximately £570 GBP ($759 USD). Both watches come with matching metal bands and can be purchased through Seiko Boutique’s online platform.
