Seventeen’s Leader S.Coups Looks Effortlessly Cool During Met Gala Debut

S.Coups, the leader of K-Pop group Seventeen, made his Met Gala debut Monday night.

On fashion’s grandest night, the 29-year-old rapper and singer donned Boss attire. Recenty, he was appointed as a global ambassador for this brand. He chose a stylish monochromatic gray ensemble for the occasion, which included an oversized, asymmetrical suit. The color of his hair mirrored the outfit, and he completed the look with a black duster coat. Before entering New York’s The Mark Hotel, marking the start of any star’s Met Gala experience, he paused for photographs.

On Monday at the Met Gala, the rapper will make his debut as a Boss ambassador. However, this isn’t his first step into the realm of fashion – S.Coups previously turned heads during Loewe’s Paris Fashion Week event in the fall when he attended their show.

17’s leader S.Coups and the rest of the band are gearing up to unveil their fifth studio album titled “Happy Burstday“. This album is a joyous commemoration of the group’s 10-year anniversary, marking their return with a full-length album after almost three years. The 13-member team announced this upcoming album on social media last month, sharing a video that displayed candles spelling “happy birthday” which later transformed into “happy burstday”. This sneak peek hinted at a “new tour, new unit single album, new Seventeen content”, and more for their significant anniversary year.

The term “Burstday” is a creative combination of ‘birthday’ and ‘burst,’ used to symbolize the explosive energy and rebirth of the group Seventeen, as they strive to transform themselves into a ‘new Seventeen.’ This transformation represents their fearless embrace of a fresh era that goes beyond a decade. As per the announcement, Happy Burstday is scheduled for release on May 26, marking the group’s 10th anniversary.
