Attention, refiners: Return to work is imminent.

Apple TV+’s trailer for “Severance” season two was revealed on Wednesday, hinting at Mark Scout’s (Adam Scott) relentless pursuit to expose the secrets behind Lumon Industries.

The second season of Severance, consisting of ten episodes, will debut on our streaming platform on January 17, 2025. Subsequently, a new episode will be released each Friday until March 21.

In the preview, Mark sprints through the empty corridors of the gloomy office setting from the thriller series, with the fast-paced dialogue of season one’s climactic ending echoing. His comeback will be two and a half years after the show initially debuted in February 2022.

In season two, Mark and his companions discover the disastrous results of crossing the boundary of the separation barrier, pushing them deeper into a trail of misfortune, as stated in a press announcement.

Apart from Scott, the cast of the show also includes Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette. For season two, we’ll have a new series regular, Sarah Bock, along with Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban, and Merritt Wever joining the cast.

This season, “Severance” is being overseen as an executive producer by Ben Stiller, who will also direct five episodes. Alongside him are directors Uta Bresiewitz, Sam Donovan, and Jessica Lee Gagné. The show was developed, written, and additionally executive produced by Dan Erickson.

In its first season, the TV show received 14 Emmy Award nominations, among them for Best Drama Series, Outstanding Directing, and recognition for Scott’s outstanding performance as the lead actor. Additionally, it garnered two Writers Guild Awards, as well as nominations from the Screen Actors Guild, the Producers Guild, and the Directors Guild too.
