Severance Season 2’s Biggest Surprise: A Child Is In Charge!

Heading towards the second season premiere of “Severance” at your own risk if you’re not fully caught up! Make sure to tread carefully in the elevator bound for the severed floor, and don’t forget to have an active subscription with Apple TV+ to enjoy the show.

In discussing “Severance,” I understand that unconventional events are to be anticipated. Yet, even with the goats and the intriguing speculations surrounding Ms. Casey, I wasn’t braced for a literal child taking charge. Here, I’m referring to Miss. Huang, portrayed by 18-year-old actress Sarah Bock, as her performance in the Season 2 premiere left me utterly astonished. Consequently, when I spoke with the cast about the upcoming episodes, I was keen to learn their perspectives on this young and surprising character.

It was quite disconcerting when Mr. Milchick presented Mark to Miss Huang. She’s essentially a young adult, and it swiftly becomes apparent that she holds more influence than any of the characters we are fond of. Mark queried, “Is this typical for someone so young…?”, and I must admit, I share his unanswered curiosity. This uncertainty was further highlighted when Irving, Helly, and Dylan also encountered her.

Interestingly enough, I found out that John Turturro felt just as puzzled and slightly overwhelmed by her too, as he shared with me during our interview at TopMob.

Initially, her brilliance left me awestruck. I wondered how such talent could exist. Yet, there was an element of intrigue to the situation because we were all essentially colleagues in a playful office environment. So having her around seemed quite extraordinary, and it struck me as an inspired move on Dan [Erikson] and Ben [Stiller’s] part – a delightful twist indeed. However, I must say she’s fantastic!

The actor from Irving has made an intriguing observation! In essence, innies are similar to young children as their comprehension of the world is extremely limited and they’re still in the process of learning about it. It’s utterly captivating and a clever contrast to place them in an office setting with a character portraying a child.

The actor hailing from Irving brought up an interesting thought! In essence, innies are similar to children as their understanding of the world is limited and they’re still learning about it. It’s quite fascinating and a unique contrast to put them in an office with a character that represents a child.

Moreover, it’s enjoyable to notice a young actress, such as Sarah Bock, holding her own alongside this talented group. Zach Cherry, portraying the character Dylan, echoed this sentiment when he shared with me:

Indeed, collaborating with Sarah Bock, the talented actress portraying Miss Haung, was a delightful experience. There was an undeniable sense of enjoyment as I observed her skillfully embody her character.

Next, Turturro expressed his admiration, stating “She’s fantastic,” and this was responded to by Britt Lower, the actress portraying Helly, with her own affirmation.

Yeah, she’s an amazing young artist.

Cherry then ended the answer by saying she’s “a lot of fun,” and I couldn’t agree more.

In summary, Miss. Huang proves to be an unexpected and delightful figure on the series. Yet, her character leaves me with more queries than resolutions.

The charm of Severance lies in it, making it one of Apple TV+’s top series. I’m eagerly anticipating discovering the reasons behind this child working at Lumon as the story unfolds, and I’m equally thrilled to see how she influences Irving, Dylan, Helly, and Mark.

Get ready, everyone, as the arrival of Miss. Huang demonstrated that our show is brimming with unexpected turns!

As the television series “Severance” unfolds in its 2025 broadcast (with new episodes released every Friday), I’ll be keenly observing this young character to unravel her purpose, understand her connection with the innies, and discern how she could potentially cause a significant stir on the partitioned level.
