Sex Therapist Thinks Lacey Chabert’s Hot Frosty Will Help Boost Netflix-And-Chilling During Holidays, But I Think A Different Movie Will Get More Stockings Stuffed

As a seasoned gamer with a rich history of binge-watching countless hours of holiday movies, I can confidently say that the 2024 Netflix calendar has indeed brought some intriguing offerings to the table. While Lacey Chabert’s latest flick, Hot Frosty, might have been touted as a potential game-changer by a sex therapist, I found another gem on Netflix’s holiday menu that truly hit the spot – The Merry Gentlemen.

As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’ve come across an intriguing piece of advice from a renowned sex therapist suggesting that winter could potentially be challenging for couples in their intimate moments. However, if you’re seeking to inject some excitement into your holiday traditions, perhaps the upcoming Christmas movie lineup holds the solution!

Sex Therapist Says Hot Frosty Is A ‘Version Of Women’s Porn’

In an unexpected twist, beloved Hallmark romance actress Lacey Chabert made headlines by joining the cast of a Netflix holiday movie this season. What left fans utterly astonished was that it was deemed a female-oriented erotic production. Critics remarked that Chabert and her co-star Dustin Milligan infused the film with “flirtatious, passionate longing,” while Dr. Laura Berman suggested such content could be fitting for the season.

Numerous aspects may contribute to reduced intimacy during the holiday season, a sex and relationship therapist noted. These could include stress, fatigue, and limited opportunities due to family visits, as well as seasonal affective disorder and depression, which are more common at this time of year. She advises that activating your Netflix subscription might result in some “Netflix-and-chill,” according to TMZ.

This content seems to be suggesting a unique blend of romantic comedies and Christmas movies, with an added element referred to as “Hot Frosty.” It appears to be drawing an analogy between this concept and the preferences of many women in media consumption, implying that a touch of romance, buildup, humor, and an attractive male character would appeal to many. However, it’s important to note that the phrase “women’s porn” might not be accurate or sensitive for all audiences, as it may not align with everyone’s experiences or preferences. A more inclusive and respectful way to phrase this could be “a type of media that many women find appealing.

I could find it offensive when stereotypes about “women’s preferences” are made, especially since I feel vulnerable. Yet, regarding the aspects my therapist highlighted such as humor, suspense, and attractive men, I believe another Netflix show catered to those elements better than Hot Frosty.

The Merry Gentlemen Is The Spicier Option On Netflix’s Holiday Menu, In My Opinion

I caught the releases of “Hot Frosty” and “The Merry Gentlemen” on their 2024 debut, and for my taste, Chad Michael Murray’s unique blend of Hallmark charm and Magic Mike allure was exactly what I needed (he did play a stripper disguised as a doctor, after all). Compared to the usual level of shirtlessness in wintery Hallmark productions, both films had their leads baring their chests extensively. However, Chad Michael Murray takes the lead with an impressive lineup of five semi-nude male dancers, while “Hot Frosty” only showcased a single “snowman.

In addition, both productions incorporated playful double entendres. For instance, in “Hot Frosty,” Jack offered to assist a woman with car trouble by saying he’d “get behind you and push.” On the other hand, I found Chad Michael Murray’s character Luke more amusing; for example, when he mentioned not wanting to keep Ashley bound (referring to Britt Robertson’s character getting entangled in his Christmas decorations) or when he asked her to “hold the nozzle” while fixing a sink. Similarly, “The Merry Gentlemen” included more male dancing than anticipated, with rhythm changes, colorful outfits, and energetic moves that were both spicy and humorous due to their comical nature.

Whether you lean more towards “Hot Frosty” or “The Merry Gentlemen,” these Netflix shows might not be receiving any awards, but if the sex therapist’s advice holds true – that they can help combat winter depression and spice up your romantic life – then they could still be worth celebrating.
