As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in the entertainment industry, I have had the privilege of witnessing the camaraderie and respect that exists among our beloved Bollywood stars. Today, as we gather to bid farewell to the late Pradeep Bandekar, a veteran photographer whose work has captured some of the most iconic moments in Bollywood history, it is heartening to see his peers – Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Vicky Kaushal – paying their respects.
In mid-August of 2024, we sadly lost senior photographer Pradeep Bandekar. His son, Prathamesh Bandekar, announced this on his social media platforms. Today, August 23rd, numerous Bollywood stars attended the prayer service for the late veteran. Among those seen were Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Vicky Kaushal, who all came to pay their respects.
Today, photographers caught Shah Rukh Khan arriving at the location of Pradeep Bandekar’s memorial service in Mumbai. A clip shows him exchanging pleasantries with someone at the entrance prior to entering.
Besides Aamir Khan, there was also a presence, paying his respects. In the footage, Vicky Kaushal could be seen entering for the memorial service. He extended greetings to all, with palms pressed together.

Previously, Prathamesh Bandekar posted an emotional tribute on Instagram for his father, Pradeep Bandekar. In the post, he expressed the sad news of his passing. He described him not only as his father but also as a brilliant photographer, a guiding mentor, a loyal friend who was always there during tough times, and someone who wasn’t afraid to argue with him in order to encourage him to strive for his best. Additionally, he highlighted that he was a devoted student to his granddaughter, constantly learning, growing, and sharing his vast knowledge.
“He went on saying, ‘Dad was a remarkable individual whose affection and optimism spanned across generations, leaving an indelible impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him. His zest for life, artistry, and unyielding spirit will forever be engraved in our hearts.'”
Prathamesh expressed his feelings by saying, “Dad, my longing for you is far beyond what words can express. Your absence, your advice, and your warmth will be greatly felt. I wish you could watch over us from above, just as you did so lovingly while here on Earth. Rest in peace, knowing that your memory will continue to motivate us all.”
