As an ardent fan of Bollywood’s very own ‘King of Romance’, I find myself constantly captivated by Shah Rukh Khan’s life journey – both on and off-screen. The way he balances his personal and professional life, especially his 33-year-long marriage with the lovely Gauri Khan, is nothing short of inspiring.
Today, we’re rejoicing as the beloved King of Romance and his queen mark another significant milestone in their 33-year marriage. This power couple is none other than Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. On this special day commemorating their wedding anniversary, let’s look back at a time when the famous superstar acknowledged his wife’s role in keeping him humble amidst his mischievous behavior.
Back in 2018, when I graced the stage of Salman Khan’s Dus Ka Dum, I couldn’t help but take a moment to shine light on my rock, my bestie, my partner in all things – Gauri. Through every up and down, she’s been there, standing by my side, offering unwavering support, friendship, and love.
On the program, SRK mentioned that he frequently ponders over the meaning of friendship. Speaking personally, the superstar conveyed his thoughts by stating that in such instances when a friend errs or acts poorly, they should have someone like Gauri by their side. King Khan highlighted that Gauri has always been supportive and caring towards him.
He admitted that he’s made numerous errors, acted impolitely and dishonorably, yet somehow, somewhere, he’s managed to keep things hidden and taken care of me in a quiet manner,” he continued.
Shah Rukh Khan wed Gauri Chibber on October 25, 1991, in a traditional Hindu ceremony. At their wedding, one of the guests, producer Vivek Vaswani, shared on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube channel that he took the newlywed couple to Darjeeling to film the title song for Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman shortly after their marriage. Later, the producer presented them with a five-day hotel stay as a gift.
At one point, Shah Rukh Khan disclosed that they spent their honeymoon in the picturesque town of Darjeeling. He shared that he tricked Gauri into thinking they were in Paris by taking her to this location instead.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are blessed with three kids: Aryan Khan (born in 1997), Suhana Khan (born in 2000), and AbRam Khan (born in 2013 through surrogacy).
In terms of his career, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for the upcoming movie directed by Sujoy Ghosh titled “King.” This project will feature Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma in significant roles as well.
