Over the course of three decades in his acting career, Shah Rukh Khan has built an enormous fan base and consistently delights audiences with his charisma and exceptional performances. Yusuf Ibrahim, one of the actor’s security consultants, recently reminisced about a visit to Ajmer Sharif Dargah, where throngs of fans flocked to catch a glimpse of him. As the crowd surged forward in their eagerness, both Shah Rukh Khan and his entourage were pushed along by fans. The police ultimately had to intervene with force (lathicharge) to control the crowd and disperse them.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, renowned security consultant Yusuf Ibrahim reminisced about an incident involving Shah Rukh Khan during an Indian Premier League season. He explained that they had chosen, unknowingly, to visit Ajmer Sharif Dargah on a Friday afternoon. To their surprise, this was a busy time with around 10,000 to 15,000 people in attendance for prayer. The situation grew more complex when Khan’s visit became known, resulting in an influx of fans creating a large crowd.
Ibrahim reminisced about the occasion when the crowd was so immense that we found ourselves involuntarily guided towards the Dargah, and just as forcefully, they returned us to our vehicle.
In the final analysis, the authorities resorted to physical intervention as the unruly masses refused to disperse peacefully. Amidst the pandemonium, Shah Rukh Khan (Pathaan actor) exhibited an unflappable demeanor, something that Yusuf had never encountered before. Yusuf recounted that SRK consistently maintains his calm and poise in such circumstances, acknowledging that it’s not anyone’s fault. As a result, he holds great respect for the affection and enthusiasm displayed towards him.
Yusuf Ibrahim went on to say that one memorable occasion was when Khan had the chance to meet his family, where he complimented Yusuf in their presence. This act left a profound impact on Yusuf, stirring deep emotions within his parents, and underscoring Khan’s down-to-earth character.
