Tahira recently opened up about being referred to as Ayushmann‘s wife in her film reviews.

Tahira Kashyap says she would get bothered for being called Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife

In an interview with Midday, Tahira Kashyap playfully dismissed comments from certain critics who referred to her as Ayushmann Khurrana’s spouse in their reviews of “Sharmajee Ki Beti.”

Tahira shared, “People have referred to me as the wife of Ayushman and the filmmaker, Tahira. This used to annoy me in the past. I’m more than just being Ayushman’s spouse or Mrs. Khurrana. I am Tahira Kashyap, an individual with my unique identity.”

The director explained that in the past, she would become agitated, which was simply a part of her personal growth process.

The filmmaker expressed that due to my current uncertainty about myself, I require an exceptional level of self-assurance, making me unaffected by how a stranger addresses me.

Tahira added that the incorrect prefix doesn’t diminish the director’s identity, and she shouldn’t let it affect her self-confidence negatively.

I’ve been on a journey of self-growth, and now when people refer to me as Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife, I can’t help but feel an immense sense of pride. It’s a title I cherish deeply.

I became so deeply involved in that project that at one point, people started referring to me as Ayushman’s wife, Viraj’s father, or Varushka’s mother. Hearing those titles gave me a sense of pride because these are the connections I care deeply about and have always supported wholeheartedly.

Tahira emphasized that her family holds a significant place in her heart and is thriving. The documentary maker rounded off the interview by revealing that she is comfortable being referred to as someone’s kin.

In 2008, Ayushmann Khurrana married his long-time friend Tahira Kashyap. They go way back to their childhood days. Together, they are proud parents of two beautiful children named Viraaj and Varushka.
