As a huge fan of Sharon Stone‘s illustrious career, I am absolutely thrilled to hear that she is joining Bob Odenkirk for the sequel of “Nobody,” titled “Nobody 2.” The news of her casting as the chief villain in this action-packed sequel has left me exhilarated.

Get ready for Sharon Stone, action star.

A renowned actress, philanthropist, and fashion icon has teamed up with Bob Odenkirk for the upcoming sequel of Universal’s 2021 surprise hit, “Nobody 2,” which is being produced by 87North.

Odenkirk will once again take on the character of a seemingly ordinary family man, hidden beneath this facade is his past as a skilled government assassin. Meanwhile, Stone has been announced to play the role of the main antagonist in the story.

Timo Tjahjanto, a prominent Indonesian filmmaker recognized for his horror and action projects including “May the Devil Take You” and parts of the “V/H/S” series, will helm the upcoming film. The script is penned by Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Bob Odenkirk, and Umair Aleem.

The team behind the original movie is reuniting for another production. Bethlehem’s Odenkirk is joining forces with Kelly McCormick and David Leitch, who are producing under their Universal-based company, 87North. Additionally, Marc Provissiero of “No Hard Feelings” fame is producing through Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, and Braden Aftergood is on board from Eighty Two Films.

Universal has set an Aug. 15, 2025 theatrical release for Nobody 2.

The initial film had a production cost of $16 million and premiered during the pandemic, earning over $57.5 million globally. Critics were favorable too; The Hollywood Reporter described it as “an implausible delight, more enjoyable than most in this genre.”

I’ve always been in awe of Stone’s boldness, starting with her groundbreaking role in “Basic Instinct,” an erotic thriller that truly pushed boundaries. Not only that, but she also earned an Oscar nomination for her captivating performances alongside Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci in “Casino.” Recently, she’s shifted her focus to the small screen, gracing our screens on Ryan Murphy’s “Ratched” on Netflix and Paolo Sorentino’s “The New Pope” on HBO.

She has been bestowed numerous prestigious awards for her humanitarian efforts, including the United Nations Global Citizen Award, Nobel Peace Summit Award, Harvard Humanitarian Award, Human Rights Campaign Humanitarian Award, and Einstein Spirit of Achievement Award. Recently, she received a lifetime achievement award at the Taormina Film Festival.

Recently, the actress graced the cover of THR with an open and honest conversation about her long-term commitment to philanthropy, as well as sharing her experiences and the ups and downs of her acting career in Hollywood and dealing with fame.

Stone has been signed by the Independent Artist Group and Brecheen Feldman within the past two months.)

At Universal, Jay Polidoro, the executive vice president of production development, and Tony Ducret, the director of development, are in charge of managing the project for the studio.
