Shia LaBeouf’s Shocking Violence Exposed in New Doc: Unseen Footage Revealed

Instead of attempting to prevent unfavorable portrayals like many celebrities do, Shia LaBeouf is actively endorsing the release of a new documentary revealing some of his aggressive episodes. Despite his acceptance, the troubling behavior exhibited by this gifted yet unpredictable actor remains hard to swallow.

According to Vanity Fair, Leo Lewis O’Neil produced a documentary titled “Slauson Rec“, based on the acting school founded by LaBeouf in South Central, LA in 2018. Over 800 hours of footage were collected, showcasing both the successes and struggles of the school, with a focus on LaBeouf’s aggressive behavior towards students, some of which escalated to physical altercations. LaBeouf requested O’Neil to film all activities at the school, and certain instances of physical violence were included in the final documentary.

On one occasion, during an interaction with a student named Zeke who was learning acting, LaBeouf became physical and the situation intensified. As LaBeouf shouted, “I don’t care about what you say to me… You have more than I ever did. What’s your problem? Why are you so ungrateful? I’m pouring my heart and soul into this, stop challenging me,” the altercation between LaBeouf and Zeke grew more heated. Eventually, Zeke suffered visible injuries as a result of the confrontation.

As a film enthusiast, I found myself observing as Shia LaBeouf initially strolled off, only to return and approach Zeke forcefully. He guided Zeke towards a wall and held him tightly, whispering menacingly into his ear. However, the situation escalated, with bystanders intervening to restrain LaBeouf. In the end, he jumped into his vehicle, accelerated, and sped away.

The documentary “Slauson Rec” explores the delicate balance between guidance and control in the creative process within an avant-garde theater group. In 2018, Shia LaBeouf initiated a free drama school at the Slauson Rec Center in South Central Los Angeles. Initially conceived as a welcoming, inclusive platform for learning, it transformed into rigorous daily sessions guided by Shia, driving participants to their limits. Newcomer director Leo Lewis O’Neil, who was there from day one, captures this intricate tale of shifting power dynamics and the long-term effects on the diverse cast over a span of three years. Shia LaBeouf Has Been in His Fair Share of Trouble

Despite having impressive acting skills, Shia LaBeouf has encountered his share of troubles and difficulties. Since 2014, he’s had run-ins with the law, such as charges for disorderly conduct, harassment, and other offenses. In Savannah, Georgia, while filming a movie in 2017, he was arrested for public intoxication. In 2020, he faced misdemeanor battery charges following an altercation with another individual, leading to his enrollment in a diversion program.

A few severe accusations against LaBeouf arose about a month following his acting school’s closure in November 2020. His former girlfriend, musician and star of The Crow, FKA Twigs, filed a lawsuit against him for sexual battery, assault, and causing emotional distress. Although LaBeouf didn’t entirely accept blame, he acknowledged that he had been abusive towards himself and others for years. The trial related to this lawsuit has been repeatedly postponed but is set to commence on Sept 29.

It seems that LaBeouf has undergone positive transformations in his life following those incidents. He is now a father to a child with actress Mia Goth, who he has had an on-and-off relationship with. Interestingly, they have reportedly reconciled and have been together since at least 2022, despite announcing their divorce in 2018. In addition, LaBeouf is openly cooperating with the documentary by O’Neil, offering his full support and not asking for any changes to be made.

I handed the camera over to Leo, urging him to express his unique perspective and personal journey freely, without censorship. I’m well-versed with the documentary and wholeheartedly endorse its release. Though my teaching style might seem unusual to some, I am immensely proud of the remarkable feats these children have accomplished. In unity, we transformed a drama class into a thriving acting company. I wish nothing but success for Leo and every member of The Slauson Rec Company.

In 2018, LaBeouf introduced his theater school with a declaration: “It’s not essential that you are an actor or have considered being one. What is required, though, is a story that you’re ready to reveal.” He further expressed his ambition for the school, stating he aimed to “revolutionize” it. However, the reality depicted in O’Neil’s documentary might not have matched those initial aspirations. For more details about Slauson Rec, check here. As for now, LaBeouf can be seen on the big screen in the upcoming Lionsgate film titled “Salvable“, set to hit theaters, on-demand, and digital platforms on May 2, 2025.
