The revival of the Dexter franchise with “Dexter: Original Sin” was not just a breath of fresh air, but more like a resurgence. The first episode broke Showtime’s record for most-streamed premieres, garnering over 2.1 million global viewers across platforms. Throughout the season, fans remained captivated, expressing their opinions, theories, and admiration on social media about the prequel. Now, a month and a half after the finale, it’s been officially confirmed that the series will continue.
According to the announcement, the popular series Dexter: New Beginnings has been given a green light for Season 2. The main cast members are set to reprise their roles, including Patrick Gibson playing young Dexter Morgan, Christian Slater as Harry, and Molly Brown as Deb. Additionally, key characters from Miami Metro such as Maria LaGuerta (played by Christina Milian), Angel Batista (James Martinez), and Vince Masuka (Alex Shimizu) will be returning. The creator and showrunner, Clyde Phillips, is also set to continue with the series.
