As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the careers of Bollywood stars, I must say that Shraddha Kapoor is a true testament to perseverance and determination. Her journey in the industry, from her first audition for Teen Patti to her breakout role in Aashiqui 2, is nothing short of inspiring.
In the year 2019, Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput shared the screen in the hit movie “Chhichhore”, a film that thrived both commercially and critically at the box office. Interestingly, it’s not widely known that these two talented actors had the chance to work together much earlier – back in 2013. The film was “Kai Po Che”, where Shraddha had auditioned but didn’t secure the role.
During an interview with Remo D’Souza on Mashable India, casting director Mukesh Chhabra shared some insights and expressed, “She is incredibly dedicated. Her initial tryout for me was for Teen Patti. After that, she appeared in a few films that didn’t succeed, resulting in a setback. She then tried out for Kai Po Che! but didn’t get the part. She wasn’t chosen… Then there was a pause. But then Aashiqui 2 came along.
Mukesh reminisced about Shraddha Kapoor’s relentless enthusiasm for auditions since she first began, maintaining a constant energy level. In his remarks on working with her for Stree 2, Remo D’Souza praised Kapoor as an incredibly hardworking individual who managed to film the popular track “Sun Saathiya” from ABCD’s 2 within only 7 hours.
Despite never working together again after their initial project, Sushant and Shraddha’s collaborative effort on Chhichhore has endured as a timeless masterpiece. This coming-of-age drama was skillfully directed by Nitesh Tiwari, under the production of Sajid Nadiadwala, with Fox Star Studios handling its distribution.
The movie “Chhichhore” drew inspiration from Tiwari’s life as a student at IIT Bombay, and included performances by Varun Sharma, Naveen Polishetty, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Tushar Pandey, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Shishir Sharma, and Mohammad Samad in significant roles. Not long ago, the film celebrated its seventh anniversary, with Shraddha sharing a heartfelt video to mark the occasion.

In terms of her professional endeavors, Shraddha Kapoor was involved in the production of Stree 2, a movie that shattered all box office records. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Stree 2 has proven to be an unstoppable force. Even with competition from John Abraham’s Vedaa and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein, Stree 2 remains on its successful trajectory.
Under the direction of Amar Kaushik, the sequel to Stree is set within the Maddock universe of the supernatural, and preparations are underway for filming its third installment.
