Speaking excitedly, I can’t help but express my enthusiasm for “The Surrender,” a captivating tale that unfolds under the banner of Shudder. Starring Colby Minifie, who stole our hearts in Amazon’s popular series “The Boys,” and Kate Burton from the long-running hit “Grey’s Anatomy,” this film revolves around a mother-daughter duo whose bond is tested to its limits when their family patriarch passes away. In a desperate attempt to resurrect him, the grieving mother hires an enigmatic figure, leading to a bizarre and gruesome process that spirals out of control. As they grapple with their differences and battle for survival, these women must lean on each other more than ever before.
