Siddhant Chaturvedi Birthday: When Gehraiyaan actor’s relatives ‘lost it’ after watching his intimate scenes with Deepika Padukone

Siddhant Chaturvedi gained widespread recognition following his exceptional acting in Zoya Akhtar’s movie Gully Boy, where he starred alongside Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. His fame soared even higher after the release of Gehraiyaan. In a previous conversation, he discussed how his family members reacted to his steamy scenes with Deepika Padukone in that film.

Previously, during an interview with Filmfare, Siddhant Chaturvedi spoke candidly about his time working on Gehraiyaan. He also shared that upon viewing certain scenes, his family members expressed shock, but there was no subsequent discussion about it. In other words, he explained that his relatives were taken aback by the content of the film, but didn’t engage in any further dialogue regarding it.

Everyone in my family seems disappointed. They said something like, ‘We assumed he might become an actor, but now it seems like he’s taken it too far; he’s living out our dreams.’ It leaves them puzzled about what to do or say.” The actor then disclosed that his maternal uncle, who was usually reserved, couldn’t help but smile at him during the movie screening.

In a somewhat justifying manner, he asked them to watch the whole movie to grasp its essence. Yet, Siddhant pointed out that their attention was solely fixated on the intimate parts of the film, with no one commenting inappropriately about it.

During the very same interview, the actor from Dhadak 2 admitted feeling apprehensive prior to filming an intimate scene alongside Deepika Padukone. He emphasized that the tension escalated so significantly that both his father and producer Karan Johar were compelled to intervene, providing him with the necessary support to conquer his unease.

As I reflect on my past, I recall my father’s words echoing in my mind: “Ninety-nine percent of people would leap at the chance you have right now.” His advice still resonates with me today: “Be a man, be professional – this is your job.” These words were not just instructions, they were a testament to the responsibility I carry and the opportunities that lie before me.

Under the guidance of director Shakun Batra, the movie titled Gehraiyaan premiered in the year 2022, exploring intricate aspects of love, betrayal, and career aspirations. This thought-provoking production became available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

In my professional journey, I recently starred alongside Malavika Mohanan in Yudhra. Moving forward, I’m excited to be working on Dhadak 2 with Triptii Dimri. This upcoming film, directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Dharma Productions, is currently encountering challenges in its release due to concerns from the CBFC regarding its portrayal of caste discrimination.
