Sikandar: Salman Khan to take on ‘gang of baddies’ in action-packed train sequence? Here’s what we know

As a dedicated follower of Bollywood and a long-time admirer of Salman Khan’s work, I am thrilled to see him back on set for his next movie, “Sikandar.” Having watched his career evolve over the years, it’s always fascinating to see the diverse roles he takes on. The action-packed train sequence in Mumbai sounds particularly exciting!


Filming for Salman Khan’s upcoming movie, titled Sikandar, is currently in high gear. Lately, scenes were being shot at the Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. It appears that the star has returned to Mumbai to continue the shoot. Rumor has it that he will soon confront a group of villains in an exhilarating train action scene.

As per the latest update from Midday, the film crew of Sikandar completed their Hyderabad shoot by mid-November and commenced the Mumbai shoot on November 25, 2024. Salman Khan started filming an action scene involving a train fight sequence on set from November 27.

According to reports from the portal, a massive model train layout has been built at a studio in Borivali. It appears that director AR Murugadoss has been meticulously planning this particular scene over the last several months.

According to a source familiar with the production, this sequence is quite extensive, featuring intense, rugged combat where Salman’s character confronts a band of villains. The insider disclosed that the director instructed the action coordinator to make the scene darker and more vengeful, with an emphasis on bloodshed.

It appears that Salman filmed a scene involving just 30 individuals, whereas the scenes with a large crowd were filmed a day earlier with around 350 people.

Once they complete the series by November 8th, the team is planning to relocate to another spot. An inside source mentioned that filming will carry on until late January, taking place at various spots around the city.

In the movie, Rashmika Mandanna is set to star as the main character. This marks her initial project with Salman Khan, creating excitement for viewers who are eager to see this new acting duo together on screen.

Previously, TopMob unveiled specific aspects of Salman’s role. A source familiar with the production shared that “the character embodies heroism, accentuating an air of effortless arrogance on screen. He is, in essence, a Sikandar, born into royalty, and his actions exhibit qualities of both anger and pride.

Alongside Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi, this impressive cast includes Sikandar. The film is helmed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is scheduled for release on the celebratory occasion of Eid in 2025.
