Previously this year, Simon Pegg, famed from “Mission Impossible,” started shooting a British independent film set in the past. This movie focuses on female inmates in an asylum. Unfortunately, it appears that this project, which had progressed halfway through production, may be at risk of being cancelled.
According to Deadline, the filming of “Angels in the Asylum,” featuring stars Simon Pegg and Katherine Waterston, has been temporarily halted due to insufficient funding. The report suggests that the production started without sufficient funds for the entire project, forcing it to pause filming roughly halfway through. The ensemble cast also includes Minnie Driver, Lesley Nicol, Rose Williams, Aurora Perrineau, and Alex Jennings.
More to come.
