The horror film titled “Sinners” has reached a significant achievement at global box offices. Directed by Ryan Coogler, who previously worked on “Black Panther” and “Creed”, this chilling tale follows twins Smoke and Stack, portrayed by Michael B. Jordan, as they confront an ominous evil upon their return to their Mississippi hometown in the 1930s. The film has established several records at the box office, such as scoring the best Easter weekend opening for an R-rated movie and recording the second-lowest drop in week 2 attendance for an R-rated horror film.
According to Variety’s latest report, as of Sunday morning, the movie “Sinners” is estimated to reach a domestic total of $181 million by the end of its third weekend in theaters. Adding the predicted $57 million it will earn overseas by the same day, this brings its global box office earnings to an impressive $236 million. This figure surpasses the $225 million mark, which is thought to be the film’s break-even point, considering its reported budget of around $90 million and the common industry rule that movies should earn back 2.5 times their production budget in theaters.
