I’ve been a fan of Sorayama’s work for quite some time now, and his “Sexy Robots” have always left me in awe with their intricate details and vibrant aesthetics.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that SIWILAI, the Bangkok-based multi-brand store, has unveiled the newest addition to their “Permanent Vacation: Friends of Siwilai” series. This time, they’re teaming up with the renowned artist Hajime Sorayama, a long-time collaborator, for this exclusive collection. Over the years, SIWILAI has partnered with some pretty amazing names, like DR. WOO, Jun Takahashi from UNDERCOVER, and Haroshi – each one bringing their unique flair to the table.
Regarding the new t-shirt design by Sorayama, it showcases an image of four of his famous “Sexy Robots” along with a robotic feline. Given that much of Sorayama’s art is erotically charged, these robots appear relatively modest in their depiction. Positioned against a lively pink backdrop, the group resembles friends taking a group photo, and the design subtly incorporates distinctive features that reflect Sorayama’s iconic airbrush style.
This particular Permanent Vacation tee is expected to debut in black only, enhancing the vividness of its pink backdrop. Distinctive features include collaborative aspects at the rear, featuring the name “SIWILAI” in the artist’s unique font style. The tee will go on sale from September 20, priced at ฿2,890 THB or around $86 USD. This exclusive item can only be found at the SIWILAI Store situated in Bangkok, Thailand.
