As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that SIWILAI, the cool gaming hub based in Bangkok, has just revealed the newest member of their “Permanent Vacation: Friends of Siwilai” collection – none other than Brian Donnelly, my long-time partner in creative ventures, better known as KAWS. This latest drop follows previous collaborations with some heavyweight names in the gaming world like VERDY, DR. WOO, Jun Takahashi from UNDERCOVER, and Haroshi. Can’t wait to see what these legends have in store for us gamers!
KAWS, renowned for his innovative techniques in art and design, is presenting a unique collaboration with SIWILAI, showcasing exclusive designs of the SIWILAI name. This special partnership merges the artist’s iconic XX eyes with SIWILAI’s Sun logo, rendered in a refreshing mint green hue. The collection boasts both black and white short-sleeved and long-sleeved tees, with limited quantities available from December 12, 2024 onwards.
This is the second significant joint project between SIWILAI and KAWS. Their initial teamwork was unveiled in 2016 through the #KAWSBFF exhibition, which showcased a monumental 8-meter sculpture and unique designs to Thai spectators. This event underscored KAWS’s impact on Thailand and honored his knack for merging high art with popular culture.
At the moment, the exclusive availability of the item has been confirmed for the SIWILAI Store, located within Central Embassy. The cost is still undisclosed as of this writing.
