Apple TV+ is keeping its Slow Horses on the track for a good while.
The streaming service owned by the tech titan has greenlit a seventh season for the series “Slow Horses”, despite its fifth season not airing until a few more months from now. This decision was made following the renewal of season six in October 2024, just after the end of season four.
They’ve already ordered a seventh season for the show “Slow Horses”, even though we won’t see its fifth season until later this year. This decision was made shortly after they renewed season six last October, right after season 4 ended.
Jay Hunt, Apple TV+’s European creative director, expressed joy that fans worldwide will get another season of ‘Slow Horses.’ She praised its blend of witty British humor and thrilling action, as well as Gary’s outstanding portrayal of Jackson Lamb alongside the somewhat bumbling espionage of the Slow Horses team.
Due to its renewal, “Slow Horses” is set to continue its tenure as Apple TV+’s longest-lasting scripted series in terms of seasons, even though it’s not the one with the most episodes.
As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled that season seven is drawing inspiration from Mick Herron’s “Bad Actors,” the eighth installment in his Slough House series. In this captivating tale, we follow my favorite character, Oldman’s Lamb, and the rest of the Slough House team as they embark on a mission to unmask a traitor hidden within the British government. The six-episode season promises a rollercoaster ride filled with intrigue, suspense, and the unique brand of humor that makes this series a must-watch!
Mediawan’s See-Saw Films is responsible for the production of “Slow Horses.” The executive producers include Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Dan Hassid, Herron, Gail Mutrux, Douglas Urbanski, and Oldman. Ben Vanstone, who adapted “A Gentleman in Moscow,” will adapt “Bad Actors” for the seventh season and serve as an executive producer. Robert McKillop, known for directing “Ludwig,” will be in charge of direction.
