As an over-the-moon fanatic, I’ve been eagerly following the progress of Son of Sardaar 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2012 action-comedy blockbuster! Over the past few weeks, Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, and the rest of the stellar cast have been hard at work in the UK. Recently, Mrunal has given us a tantalizing glimpse into the birthday celebrations of our beloved co-actor, Sharat Saxena, which unfolded right on set amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland!
Recently, Mrunal Thakur posted a video on Instagram Stories from the set of Son of Sardaar 2. In the video, Sharat Saxena is seen celebrating his birthday by cutting several tasty-looking cakes amidst the beautiful scenery of Scotland. Ajay Devgn, Mrunal, Vindu Dara Singh, and other crew members were present, clapping and cheering with him. Sharat Saxena expressed his appreciation to everyone by folding his hands and saying thank you. Mrunal Thakur also wished him a happy birthday in her Stories by writing “Janam din mubarak”.

Back in 2023, a reliable source close to the project’s development shared with me that Ajay Devgn had been contemplating expanding Son of Sardaar into a franchise since its initial release over a decade ago. He explored numerous ideas to progress Jassi Singh Randhwa’s story, but none seemed quite right. However, after much thought and discussion, Ajay Devgn and his team have finally settled on an ideal plot for the sequel and are now preparing to make the official announcement about this exciting new project.
It was recently announced that a group of talented actors such as Ravi Kishan, Chunky Panday, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Mukul Dev, Roshni Walia, among others, have joined the cast for TopMob.
