As a dedicated follower of Bollywood news, I was thrilled to learn about Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s recent wedding. The beautiful pictures of the couple from their civil marriage ceremony in Mumbai and their honeymoon trips to Singapore and the Philippines have been making rounds on social media, and I couldn’t help but feel happy for the newlyweds.
Sonakshi Sinha, an actress, got married to her long-term boyfriend and actor Zaheer Iqbal on June 23 in a simple civil ceremony held in Bandra, Mumbai. Following their wedding, the newlyweds embarked on two honeymoon journeys – first to Singapore and then to the Philippines.
Recently, Zaheer shared that his thoughts on getting married were not in line with Sonakshi’s plans.

During an interview with Galatta India, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheir Iqbal were queried about marriage being their sole intention if it involved having their families present. Sonakshi openly confirmed that this was indeed her preferred choice for getting married.
Zaheer interrupted with an excited confession: “I had planned to secretly marry and escape together, but discovered that such weddings aren’t recognized in India.”

Sonakshi mentioned that Zaheer’s wedding plans were called off, and she preferred a small, intimate wedding instead. Regarding their marital plans, the actress explained that Zaheir was fine with having family and friends present during the ceremony. Sonakshi expressed her desire for “everyone who has played a role” in their lives to be included in the wedding celebration.
She elaborated on her wedding that they wished to have “one big party” and they did.”‘Zaheer aur Sona ki shaadi hai to ek party toh banti hai (We believed that it was our wedding so there had to be a celebration),” she said.
The Kakuda actress concluded that the couple had a “blast” and the guests had an amazing time.

During the same interview, Zaheer Iqbal mentioned that while promoting their 2022 film, Double XL, the couple kept a tight rein on their feelings. They shared certain things subtly, suggesting aspects of their relationship.
To which, Sonakshi added that she remembered all of it.
In her latest project, Sonakshi Sinha appeared at Kakuda for filming. Notably, Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem played significant parts in this production. The movie hit theaters on July 12 and can now be watched online on ZEE5.
