Actress Amrita Puri, who starred alongside Sonam Kapoor in Aisha, along with her parents Aditya and Anita Puri, purchased a high-end apartment in the upscale Lower Parel district of Mumbai. According to records from Square Yards and the Registration Department’s official website, the deal for this expensive property was completed in April 2025, reportedly costing approximately Rs 37 crore.
The apartment is located within the World One section of the renowned Lodha Group’s World Towers development. Spanning approximately 5,446.53 square feet (or about 505.85 square meters), this luxurious dwelling includes access to four designated parking spaces, a common advantage in upscale Mumbai property transactions.
As a committed follower, I should note that alongside the significant cost of the acquisition, my family incurred an additional Rs 2.22 crore for stamp duty and an extra Rs 30,000 for registration charges.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d say living in Lower Parel continues to be a highly sought-after choice in the bustling city of Mumbai. It’s renowned for its towering skyline, luxurious facilities, and prime positioning next to significant business centers such as Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Nariman Point – making it an ideal place for those who value convenience and modern comforts.
Notably, the prestigious neighborhood of Lower Parel is home to a number of well-known figures. Actors like Abhishek Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor, writer Amish Tripathi, and retired cricketer Zaheer Khan all reside here.
Amrita Puri, famed for her performances in Aisha (led by Sonam Kapoor), Kai Po Che!, and Four More Shots Please!, as well as on digital platforms, has established a unique space for herself within the film industry. She is the child of Aditya Puri, the highly respected former Managing Director of HDFC Bank and one of India’s influential banking leaders.
In 2010, Amrita Puri embarked on her acting career through the movie Aisha, which featured Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Ira Dubey, and Anand Tiwari alongside her on set.
Most recently, she appeared in the mystery-thriller “Neeyat,” partnering with Vidya Balan and Ram Kapoor. Her role was that of a journalist in “IC814: The Kandahar Hijack,” directed by Anubhav Sinha.
Currently, the actress hasn’t disclosed any information about her upcoming venture. On a personal note, Puri got married to restaurateur Imrun Sethi in Bangkok on November 11, 2017. Pictures from Amrita’s enchanting wedding garnered much attention, with many appreciating the radiant bride. Regrettably, less than two years into their marriage, they chose to separate and filed for divorce.
