Actor Sonu Sood, last seen in the movie “Fateh”, disclosed that he didn’t employ a public relations team for promoting his actions during the pandemic. Instead, he spoke about the persistent phone calls the individuals he assisted were receiving.
In a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, Sonu Sood addressed a common viewpoint that his charitable acts during the pandemic were boosted by PR. He made it clear that contrary to popular belief, this wasn’t the case. When asked about his efforts being more noticeable than those of other celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar who also assisted during the pandemic, Sonu replied, underscoring that everyone put in a great deal of effort.
He shared that, unlike many others, he doesn’t often share posts on social media, particularly on Instagram. However, his Twitter activity is primarily focused on addressing questions and providing help whenever required.
Additionally, the actor pointed out that throughout the pandemic, there were no interview requests from journalists nor promotional efforts by public relations teams regarding his work. He underscored this by saying, “I had no PR support whatsoever.
Sonu shared that numerous individuals he aided during the pandemic chose to erase their tweets once they received aid, in an effort to lessen the influx of continuous calls and messages from those needing help, to avoid being swamped themselves.
He made it clear that the primary goal was always to offer assistance rather than seek self-promotion. Sood explained that there were instances where people’s phones wouldn’t stop ringing, with some asking for similar help, which created a challenging situation for them to manage. He pointed out that if a tweet was removed, it meant they had received the necessary support. In contrast, false accounts continued to keep their tweets active.
Currently on the professional side of things, Sonu Sood has been active in the movie “Fateh.” This film is not only his directorial venture but also a co-production. The cast includes Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in significant roles. The release of Fateh took place in cinemas on January 10th.
