Spectre Divide Playtest: How to get in & access times

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a twinge of excitement when a new title like Spectre Divide enters the scene. The concept of playing two characters with a single mind is intriguing, and it’s not often we see such innovative ideas in tactical shooters.

The game named Spectre Divide is a freshly unveiled team-based tactical shooter, offering an intriguing twist: you control two characters who share the same consciousness, allowing for seamless swapping between them – an ability that remains functional even after one character meets its demise in battle.

Beginning in early August, we’ll conduct a preliminary stress test for the game, which is just one phase among several planned playtests and a closed beta. To increase your chances of joining these events, please refer to the steps provided hereafter.

How to get access to the playtest

In order to participate in the playtest for Spectre Divide, it is essential that you have a Steam account. If you already possess one, kindly follow the instructions provided hereafter:

  • Head to the Spectre Divide Steam page
  • Click ‘Add to your wishlist‘ below the trailers and images
  • Select ‘Request Access‘ a little further down

After successful execution, you’ll receive a notification, and you will become part of our potential playtester group, which could include you for future tests.

We haven’t set a specific date for the upcoming playtest or closed beta yet, but if you followed the provided instructions to sign up, you’ll receive an email inviting you to participate when it’s close at hand.

If you’re among the fortunate individuals chosen, the Spectre Divide Playtest app will automatically show up in your Steam collection as well.

Why can’t I install the Spectre Divide Playtest?

Some individuals who registered for the initial playtest and were chosen have the Spectre Divide Playtest pre-installed in their libraries. However, attempting to install it may result in an error notification appearing.

As a devoted fan, I must clarify that unfortunately, I was unable to attend the initial playtest session that unfolded on August 3, 2024, lasting approximately eight hours.

In case you missed it earlier, this is your initial opportunity to play the game. Make sure to follow the game’s social media channels to learn about upcoming test sessions where you might get a chance to join in.
