Spider-Man 4 Officially Has A Release Date, And Now I’m Wondering How The Sequel Will Connect To Avengers: Doomsday

As a seasoned Marvel enthusiast with countless hours spent in the cinematic universe, I eagerly anticipate the return of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in 2026! The news that Spider-Man 4 will hit the big screen on July 24 is a date etched deeply into my calendar. With Holland also set to star in Christopher Nolan’s next masterpiece, it seems our friendly neighborhood Spiderman will be quite busy that month!

Despite wrapping up the Spider-Man trilogy set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” it’s been evident that we haven’t seen the last of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. The development for “Spider-Man 4” has been ongoing for the upcoming slate of Marvel films, and Holland himself has stated that the script sparked a renewed passion in him. Now we have a release date for “Spider-Man 4,” but this news leaves me questioning how it will tie into another upcoming superhero movie, “Avengers: Doomsday.

The upcoming Spider-Man movie, still unnamed, has been scheduled for release on July 24, 2026 by Sony Pictures. Interestingly, Tom Holland, who plays the role of Spider-Man, will appear in two movies that month as he is also set to star in Christopher Nolan’s next film, releasing on July 17. Other significant releases scheduled for July 2026 include Shrek 5, a live-action version of Moana, and Paw Patrol 3. Notably, Spider-Man 4 will hit theaters approximately three months after Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to open on May 1, 2026.
