Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man 4 is going to take slightly longer to swing into theaters.
Sony Pictures revealed on Friday that the upcoming Marvel superhero film, currently untitled, will now be released in cinemas on July 31, a week later than initially planned. The movie is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
This modification pushes the film further away from the premiere of director Christopher Nolan’s movie titled “The Odyssey“, which features Holland and opens in Universal cinemas on July 16. The impressive ensemble cast for this adaptation of Homer’s epic poem includes Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, and Charlize Theron.
I recently starred as the valiant web-slinger in 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. The direction for this movie was handled by Jon Watts, who also led me in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017) and “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019).
Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna are responsible for penning the latest Spider-Man movie, having written the previous movie titled No Way Home beforehand.
More to come.
