Split Fiction Friend’s Pass Now Better Than Ever with Free Cross-Play Support

The “Friend’s Pass” function in Split Fiction has returned, improved this time with smooth cross-platform compatibility.

This means anyone can join you and play the entire game for free on any available platform.

This significant improvement in “It Takes Two” now ensures that no one is excluded from enjoying multiplayer sessions with friends, regardless of the gaming console they own.

Just in case you weren’t aware, the Friend’s Pass has consistently been a key feature in games developed by Hazelight Studios. If you buy It Takes Two or Split Fiction, you’ll receive an additional Friend’s Pass that you can give to a friend, enabling them to join in the fun at no cost. This pass provides limited access, allowing two players to collaborate and enjoy Hazelight’s distinctive cooperative gameplay experiences together. It can be utilized more than once, but it can only be used by one friend at a time; anyone else will need to patiently wait their turn.

The newest game from Josef Fares and Hazelight Studios is titled Split Fiction. It follows the tremendous achievement of their previous title, It Takes Two. In this installment, two authors find themselves ensnared within their own inventions – one skilled in science fiction, the other in fantasy tales. Their realms converge in a narrative-centric journey, with both genres significantly influencing the game’s storyline and gameplay dynamics.

Each stage in Split Fiction boasts an exhilarating blend of sci-fi and fantasy, crafted by the imaginative duo Mio and Zoe. One instant, players could find themselves engaged in combat with fire-spewing dragons; the next, they’re slipping into advanced exosuits reminiscent of Metroid. Similar to It Takes Two, each stage is unique, providing a consistently new adventure as you progress through the game.

In the latest release of Split Fiction, Hazelight recreates their classic split-screen cooperative play style for a smooth gaming experience for two players. This feature takes us back to the golden age of PlayStation 2, where local multiplayer was prevalent on the couch. Now, with crossplay functionality, you can join forces with friends regardless of which console they’re using!

Hazelight Studios’ Split Fiction arrives this March 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
