As a die-hard fan of Squid Game, I can hardly contain my excitement as we gear up for another round of heart-stopping action and emotional rollercoasters! Having binge-watched the first season multiple times and eagerly awaiting every update since then, the release of the teaser trailer for Season 2 feels like a dream come true.
In the initial sneak peek for season two of Squid Game, it’s hinted that the competition doesn’t end, even if it appears to be finished.
On Thursday in Atlanta, Netflix showcased fresh clips during a live fan gathering, concluding its week-long barrage of announcements focused on genre content, known as Geeked Week. Notably, it was previously announced that the streaming service’s most popular series will make its comeback on December 26, over three years since the initial episode captivated audiences worldwide in 2021.
In the introductory scene, it’s revealed that a fresh round of play is about to start. Yet, the anxious Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) discovers himself thrust back into the game, this time as Player 456, donning his characteristic green tracksuit once more.
“We’re ready to start the game,” a voice says in Korean. Watch the teaser below.
Besides Lee, the Emmy-winning series’ season two also welcomes back Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo. Alongside them are newcomers Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an.
Back in the start of this year, Netflix disclosed that the popular series, Squid Game, will conclude with its third and last season, slated for release in the year 2025.
As I, Seong Gi-hun, swore vengeance at the close of our first battle, I find myself once more stepping into the world of the game. Will my quest for retribution come to fruition? It appears that Front Man won’t make it easy on me this time around. The epic confrontation between our realms will carry over into the grand finale of season three, set to be released next year.
