The performers Byung Hun Lee and Yim Siwan from the hit series Squid Game have been confirmed to attend KCON L.A. 2025, as revealed in a statement on Tuesday.

On August 1, the duo is set to perform at the inaugural night concert of the M Countdown K-pop festival, where they will create a moment to remember for international fans and underscore KCON’s dedication to fostering unique relationships between artists and spectators, as stated in an official announcement. Additionally, Yim will make an appearance on the first day of KCON L.A. 2025 at the CJ ENM K-Content exhibition area within the main festival grounds at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

On July 31st, Yim is expected to participate in an event titled “K-Culture Night at Academy Museum with KCON,” which is a collaboration between CJ ENM and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. This special evening will also include Eric Nam, who was recently introduced as part of a new Paramount and Hybe K-pop project, Choi Hojong, Lee Youngji, P1Harmony, and Is:sue. During the event, Yim will take part in a unique session, while Choi will perform a dance routine to the music from Bong Joon Ho’s Academy Award-winning film “Parasite.

Both Lee and Yim have connections with the K-pop industry. Before embarking on an acting career, Yim was a part of the boy band ZE:A within the K-pop scene. He is scheduled to take part in a special discussion at the Academy Museum, where he will talk about his journey from being a K-pop star to becoming an actor. More recently, Lee lent his voice to the villain Gwima in the Netflix sensation KPop Demon Hunters.

The top global K-pop festival, KCON, is set to make a comeback in downtown Los Angeles’s Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena from August 1st to 3rd, offering a unique opportunity for local K-Pop enthusiasts to witness multiple beloved acts together. As a die-hard fan, I’m absolutely thrilled about this year’s KCON lineup! Seventeen’s dynamic duo Hoshi and Woozi (HxW), NCT 127, Aespa, Monsta X, Key, IVE, NMIXX, and Zerobaseone are set to take the stage. Additionally, Baby DONT Cry, Riize, Hwasa, Meovv, Nowz, Idid, Izna, Jackson Wang, J-pop group JO1, Roy Kim, I-dle, Yuqi, AllDay Project, Cravity, and Kep1er will be performing throughout the three-day concert series. This is going to be an unforgettable musical journey!
