As a long-time Bethesda fan with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that Starfield has been a bit of a letdown for me. While I appreciate the developer’s ambition to create something new and exciting, I can’t help but feel disappointed by the bugs, glitches, and janky animations that have become synonymous with Bethesda releases.
Bethesda made grand promises about Starfield, and since the developers raised expectations incredibly high with their first new IP in 25 years, they’ve been working diligently to restore Starfield’s reputation as a sci-fi explorer. Although the upcoming Shattered Space expansion is expected to contribute significantly, many believe that Starfield may still be struggling to find its place among the stars.
Bethesda games are often criticized for their rough launches that are marred by bugs and glitches, detracting from the gaming experience. Add to this some subpar animations, and you’ve got the classic ingredients of a popular Bethesda game. However, eight years after Fallout 4 faced similar issues, it appears that the repetition of these problems in Starfield has started to lose its charm for many players.
Starfield’s land vehicles leak
It seems nobody finds Starfield engaging or enjoyable; I personally find it incredibly dull. This raises questions about the reasoning behind continued updates. To me, it appears as though the game hasn’t been updated in two decades. However, this is merely my perspective.

It has been revealed that All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) will be included in Starfield. Although the developers haven’t given a specific release date yet, recent leaks hint that these vehicles might not bring the groundbreaking gameplay changes Starfield needs at this moment. User @Mr_Rebs_ posted what appears to be authentic Starfield footage, claiming it provides a first real glimpse into land vehicles within the game.
As an enthusiastic follower, I’m excitedly sharing that the OP hints at a Shattered Space trailer and its release date being unveiled during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20th. The buzz about this has been spreading rapidly across Reddit and 4chan, with some doubters flagging these leaks as potentially false. However, Mr_Rebs_, in his usual insightful manner, has once again shed light on the trailer’s similarities to Bethesda’s official teaser of their vehicles, stirring intrigue about its authenticity.
Starfield’s planets were often criticized for their lack of life or settlements, prompting Bethesda to defend their design by pointing out that not every planet in space needs to resemble bustling cities. They are planning to introduce land vehicles to make exploring these less populated worlds more enjoyable, but remember, even if you travel across a barren wasteland swiftly, it will still be a desolate landscape at its core.
Although some predict that Shattered Space could spark a comeback for Starfield similar to what Phantom Liberty did for Cyberpunk 2077, others are not convinced. Particularly, the leaked images of land vehicles have failed to reignite enthusiasm in a fanbase that’s been growing stale.
1. One critic grumbled, “It may seem exciting, but it seems like you’re just rushing to nowhere,” while another commented, “Oh joy! Another way to speed across lifeless planets.” A third chimed in, “Honestly, it looks pretty dull. I wish Starfield was better. Space Citizen is far superior.”
In simpler terms, someone pointed out that it took Bethesda a whole year to include a land vehicle in their game, but a fan could have modified one into the game within just two hours. This highlights how modders were ahead of the game, adding vehicles and even mechs months before Bethesda did. (AAA games refer to big-budget video games developed by major studios.)
Just recently, there were rumors that all-terrain vehicles would soon be visible in our skies, and Gamescom seemed like an ideal platform for their debut within Shattered Space. However, whether Bethesda can recover remains uncertain; it seems that even ATVs might not be enough to ignite the engines of Starfield once more.
