The Fighting Fantasy Classics library expands anew, introducing Starship Traveller this time. Originally penned by Stephen Jackson in 1984, this fan-favorite work has been transformed by Tin Man Games into a science fiction gamebook suitable for contemporary devices. In Starship Traveler, you assume the position of a starship captain who’s found yourself in an uncharted region of the cosmos following a passage through the Seltsian Void. With no sign of a return journey, your mission becomes one of discovery, diplomacy with alien societies, and engagement in interstellar combat. The consequences of each choice you make will impact your own fate, that of your crew, and the state of your vessel.

The studio has updated Starship Traveller by employing its Gamebook Adventures Engine, thereby improving the overall gaming experience without compromising the essence of the original. In this game, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of up to seven crew members as they embark on perilous missions to alien planets. An integrated tracking system takes care of statistics, space battles between ships, and mapping details, allowing you to concentrate more on the journey itself.

If you find the main experience intimidating and prefer something more casual, the Free Read mode would suit you well. Designed with a traditional dice mechanic and customizable difficulty levels, it’s tailored for those who enjoy a less intense journey.
