Stellar Blade Sold 1 Million Copies In Just 3 Days On Steam

Last week, the game Stellar Blade was released for PC and it experienced a significant increase in simultaneous players during its first weekend – a pattern typically observed with major launches. Following its release, Stellar Blade peaked at 147,996 concurrent players on Steam, but this figure skyrocketed to an impressive 192,078 concurrent players over the weekend. It’s important to note that this count doesn’t include the number of players who have purchased and are playing Stellar Blade on the Epic Games Store as well.

According to analyst Daniel Ahmad’s observations, Stellar Blade is thriving in China due to its Chinese-language version and a more affordable price point in that region.

A significant proportion of personal computer sales can be attributed to China, largely due to the availability of Chinese versions (not for consoles) and competitive pricing compared to other regions ($38 compared to $60).

In a recent announcement, Shift Up revealed that Stellar Blade surpassed 1 million unit sales within its first three days on the market. When combined with PS5 sales, this brings the game’s total sales to an impressive 3 million units. Since its launch, Stellar Blade has undergone adjustments for optimal performance and has already received two significant expansion packs.

Initially, one title merged with Nier: Automata, its most significant inspiration, to introduce outfits and items inspired by the renowned game, and later on, it incorporated content stemming from another game, Goddess of Victory: Nikke. This update also featured additional outfits for unlocking, new quests, and a formidable boss battle against Scarlet, a character from the mobile game.

A Stellar Blade sequel is already in development, and Shift Up is aiming to have it out by 2027.
