Sting, Kevin Nash, The Undertaker And More Wrestling Icons Pay Tribute After Hulk Hogan’s Death

Professional wrestling has never been more popular than it is now, with Monday Night Raw consistently outranking Netflix in television ratings each week, AEW’s dual-network expansion, and the resurgence of the NWA. It’s hard to attribute all this success to a single individual, but it’s equally challenging to imagine wrestling’s current status without Hulk Hogan having dominated pop culture in the 1980s. Now, numerous WWE stars and others are expressing their condolences following the shocking news of Hogan’s passing.

Over the course of my lengthy career in the wrestling ring, I’ve executed some of the most memorable villainous moves, particularly during my time with the nWo, which have left an indelible mark. These actions might even overshadow my achievements as a hero. One move that stands out is bodyslamming the legendary Andre the Giant. Given this shared history of unexpected twists, it feels fitting to pay tribute from another cherished athlete who also made a stunning heel turn, a move that ranks among the top five most shocking in wrestling lore.

This surge in popularity paved the way for The Undertaker’s fictional brother, Kane, to be created. Both athletes acknowledged each other on social media.

Shawn Michaels and Triple H rose to fame during Hulk Hogan’s reign, and it’s possible that the group Degeneration X wouldn’t have been created if not for the oppositional and chaotic actions of the nWo (New World Order).

Superstars like Kurt Angle and Matt Cardona have acknowledged Hogan as their inspiration for entering the world of wrestling.
