Among the upcoming Netflix releases is the final season of “Stranger Things,” set to air in 2025. Despite this being Season 5, it’s hard to believe that by then the popular sci-fi series will be celebrating its ninth anniversary. It seems like just yesterday when the show first aired and quickly rose to fame, solidifying itself as one of Netflix’s top shows. However, there’s something actor Finn Wolfhard wishes he had done differently from the start.
At 13, Wolfhard shot to fame with the release of “Stranger Things,” and he and his castmates instantly became household names. Now, at 22, the actor is preparing to wrap up that era in his life. Although he wouldn’t alter much about those days, if given a chance, there’s one thing from the height of “Stranger Things” popularity that he wishes he could redo.
I wouldn’t change anything in my past, but if given a chance, I’d go back to when the show initially became popular and I’d immediately seek therapy for myself at that time. However, things moved so rapidly and unpredictably that there was hardly any opportunity to consider such an action.
Acting as a child in the limelight isn’t a walk in the park, as proven by the debated documentary Quiet on Set, and performing on a series that is monumental at such a tender age can be quite demanding. It’s disheartening to learn about Wolfhard seeking therapy, but it’s not shocking, particularly since it likely provided him with tools to cope more effectively.
It’s possible he doesn’t necessarily regret the outcome following the release of “Stranger Things,” understanding that not many things would have changed anyway. However, therapy, especially at a young age, could be beneficial. Childhood is difficult no matter what, and this is something that Wolfhard also acknowledges.
Reframing that thought in a more personal and engaging manner: “I believe that I’m destined to learn through experiences – both successes and missteps. Childhood, for me, has been an intriguing journey of exploration and discovery, where each new path leads to fresh lessons.
On the hit series “Stranger Things”, the young cast members rose to fame swiftly. It’s likely that having experienced actors like Winona Ryder on board, who had prior experience in the field, contributed to their success. So it’s not unexpected that she and a few others offered some seasoned advice. Although it might not be as effective as professional therapy, talking to someone who has been through similar experiences and sharing insights with fellow young cast members probably made things less daunting. It’s hard to believe they’re now in their 20s, but Finn Wolfhard can now pass on his wisdom to younger actors experiencing what he did when “Stranger Things” was first released.
Regarding the show “Stranger Things”, viewers are gearing up for its conclusion, and it promises to be a rollercoaster of emotions. While David Harbour remains tight-lipped about whether fans will end up feeling elated or tearful, the mystery of who survives and who meets their demise lingers. This season is shaping up to be one that viewers won’t want to skip, as it’s set to air on Netflix soon, offering a final glimpse into Hawkins, Indiana, a place we’ve come to know and love. It’s just one of the many chilling TV series coming up, and the anticipation is high!
