Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown Reunites With ‘Papa’ for Wedding Vows

Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown Reunites With 'Papa' for Wedding Vows

As a long-time devotee of cinema, I must say that the recent events surrounding Millie Bobby Brown and her wedding have added a delightful personal touch to the world of Stranger Things. Having grown up with this talented young actress portraying Eleven since her debut in 2016, it’s heartening to see her embark on this new chapter of her life. And what better way to seal the deal than with none other than “Papa” Matthew Modine officiating?

In the upcoming final season of “Stranger Things”, the cast will reunite after their separation in Season 4. Interestingly, Millie Bobby Brown has already had a different kind of reunion – she recently stood at the altar with “Papa” Matthew Modine for her wedding to Jake Bongiovi. Modine portrayed Dr. Martin Brenner in the first season of the popular Netflix series and was thought to have met his end after being attacked by a Demogorgon, although he surprisingly reappeared in the second-last season, only to be mortally wounded again in the Nevada desert.

At the wedding of Brown and Bongiovi on October 2nd, Modine was present as the officiant. Notably, this public ceremony marked the union of the 20-year-old British actress and the 22-year-old son of the renowned Jon Bon Jovi. It’s worth mentioning that they had already exchanged vows in a private ceremony held in May. The grand celebration held in Tuscany, Italy was a much more lavish event compared to their initial, intimate wedding. A picture posted on Instagram depicts the charming couple standing under a flower-adorned arch, with Modine positioned between them as they recite their vows. The caption reads, “Forever and always, my husband,” and Modine humorously commented below, “Wow! Who’s the old guy with a beard?

Brown likewise posted a sequence of images on her Instagram, mirroring her spouse’s caption with one of her own: “For eternity and all time, your wife.” However, it’s worth noting that none of these pictures show Modine alongside the joyful duo.

In 2025, the final season of “Stranger Things” is set to make its debut, promising a bittersweet conclusion for the entire cast, who find it difficult to keep their emotions in check while filming this farewell episode. Millie Bobby Brown, who started playing Eleven at just 12 years old back in 2016, has since built a successful career in Hollywood, with roles in films such as Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Enola Holmes, and Damsel.

Although the specifics of Stranger Things Season 5 are being kept under wraps, Brown previously shared that she learned her character’s destiny unintentionally. This occurred during a writers’ meeting when she stumbled upon a whiteboard outlining what transpires with Eleven.

“Although I haven’t finished reading the story yet, I know how it ends for my character because I managed to get inside the writers’ room. I reached out to the directors, asked if we could meet, and they agreed. Upon entering their office, I saw a whiteboard with the ending for my character written on it. I was surprised, paused, and then walked away at a leisurely pace.

It’s possible that Matt and Ross Duffer were pulling a prank on her since they knew she would attend the meeting, but it’s hard to say for certain. What is clear though, is that Dr. Brenner, played by David Harbour, is no longer around, as confirmed by the Duffer Brothers themselves. However, just like Brown, they might be keeping us guessing with their tricks. Without a doubt, we’re on edge waiting for the final season of Stranger Things to return to Netflix in 2025.
