As a die-hard film enthusiast who has had the privilege of witnessing the evolution of Indian cinema, I can confidently say that working alongside legends like Amitabh Bachchan is a dream come true for any actor. The moment I saw Big B strut onto the sets of Section 84 was nothing short of surreal; it felt like stepping into a time machine and being transported back to his prime years.

In recent times, actor Abhishek Banerjee has gained widespread recognition, particularly following the success of the movie Stree 2 starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Previously, Abhishek portrayed a character in the original Stree film released in 2018, which he reprised for Stree 2. Notably, his upcoming project is Section 84 alongside legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. In an interesting turn of events, Abhishek confessed that he was star-struck upon witnessing Big B on set, to the extent that he recorded the moment so as not to forget it.

In an interview with PTI, Abhishek Banerjee opened up about his collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan on the film “Section 84,” directed by Ribhu Das Gupta.

Speaking about the memorable moment when Big B made his appearance, Abhishek said, “I captured it since I didn’t want that special instant to be forgotten.” The Vedaa actor added that Amitabh Bachchan’s stride evoked feelings of nostalgia, taking him back to his most significant years.

Abhishek mentioned that the megastar’s dialogue and action sequences seemed vividly clear to him when he experienced the scene firsthand. He referred to the 81-year-old megastar as a “pillar of the industry,” a figure every actor dreams of collaborating with during their career.

Last week, the actor from Paatal Lok, known for his successes in Stree 2 and Vedaa, revealed that among all films, Section 84 was the one he decided upon most swiftly.

Abhishek recalled agreeing to a film with Amitabh Bachchan after learning about it. The actor from Stree 2 went on to mention that he didn’t catch the following remarks. Upon being told to hear the movie plot, he felt it wasn’t essential for him.

Abhishek Banerjee went on to explain that the director, Ribhu, envisioned him as a character similar to Amitabh Bachchan when they met. This was a significant moment for him, as he mentioned.

2023 saw Abhishek Banerjee expressing on platform X his thoughts about the script of Section 84, along with his heartfelt emotions regarding teaming up with Amitabh Bachchan. He expressed his gratitude for working alongside the esteemed Big B and thanked the director for providing him the chance to bring his dream of collaborating together into fruition.

Stree 2 and Vedaa were released on the same date, August 15 (Independence Day) this year.
