Stree 2 and Vedaa actor Abhishek Banerjee reveals which film he will see first but there's a twist

As an ardent movie buff, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming triple whammy of Hindi films – Stree 2, Vedaa, and Khel Khel Mein, all releasing on August 15, 2024. The sheer fortune of Abhishek Banerjee gracing us with his presence in not one but two of these masterpieces is nothing short of extraordinary!

moviegoers can anticipate exciting times ahead as three Hindi movies – Stree 2, Vedaa, and Khel Khel Mein are set to premiere on August 15, 2024. Actor Abhishek Banerjee, who is fortunate enough to be involved in two of these films, Stree 2 and Vedaa, recently described the experience as “insane” in an interview. Interestingly, he also shared which film he would prefer to watch first, but there’s a twist!

During a conversation with India Today, Banerjee mentioned that this situation was completely novel to him, pointing out that not even in his theatre days had he ever had two performances scheduled for the same day. He labeled it an unusual and slightly chaotic experience, yet expressed gratitude as well.

He pointed out that both characters were very different from each other and came from extreme genres, expressing his gratitude that the entire nation would be watching him in these films.

When asked which movie he’d prefer to watch first, Abhishek chuckled and mused, “I might need to split the screen to watch both at once. Otherwise, I could flip a coin,” he joked, then laughed, “Alternatively, I’ll go with Khel Khel Mein.”

In a conversation, Abhishek shared insights about Stree 2. He explained that the character has stayed with him ever since Amar Kaushik incorporated it into Bhediya and Munjiya. He expressed a deep sense of connection to this role, feeling as though he could perform it with relative ease due to his strong bond with it.

He mentioned that having friends as colleagues made the whole journey pleasant, and the comradery within the cast improved not only their tasks but also the movie production. Moreover, he pointed out that the movie fits into a distinctive genre, and the script rehearsals were engaging and delightful too.

The performer pointed out that the appeal of the horror-comedy genre among viewers is strongly tied to its roots in folklore. He mentioned that even though many kids today might not watch television or movies, they are still exposed to tales passed down from their elders.

In Vedaa, Banerjee disclosed his intention to portray an antagonist. Despite finding it enjoyable, he acknowledged that comedy is the tougher genre for him to tackle effectively.

In contrast to Stree 2 featuring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi, the film Vedaa stars John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh as its main characters.
