As a lifestyle expert with an eye for cinematic brilliance and a heart for compelling characters, I find myself deeply moved by Shraddha Kapoor‘s journey through her captivating roles. Her portrayal of Aarohi in Aashiqui 2 stands out as one of the most memorable performances in recent Indian cinema, embodying a love that transcends the boundaries of conventional romance.
Shraddha Kapoor initially made her screen appearance with a minor part in the film Teen Patti (2010). Subsequently, she stepped into her first main role in Luv Ka The End the following year. However, it was her breakout performance as Aarohi Keshav Shirke in Aashiqui 2 (2012), opposite Aditya Roy Kapur, that truly catapulted her to fame. This character, which she played, gained significant popularity during its release. Most recently, Shraddha fondly reflected on portraying Aarohi in Aashiqui 2, describing the role as particularly meaningful in her acting career.
At the most recent TopMob Masterclass event, actress Shraddha Kapoor, who was there promoting Stree 2, was asked to identify her preferred character and describe what makes it appealing to her. Shraddha described Aarohi as a particularly significant role in her life.
“For me personally, ‘Aashiqui 2’ stands out as a unique film. The character of Aarohi embodies qualities I admire and aspire to possess within myself. Her way of loving is truly remarkable, and the depth of her love is profound and pure.” Shraddha revealed that in real life, she finds inspiration in her portrayal of Aarohi.
During their time on stage, Shraddha Kapoor invited a female fan to join her in a duet. “She loves to sing!” exclaimed the actress. And so, they sang ‘Chahun Main Ya Naa’, a beloved song from Aashiqui 2, together.

In addition to this, Shraddha noted that she starred as Haseena Parkar in the 2017 movie titled “Haseena Parkar.” The actress from “Aashiqui 2” expressed her pleasure in portraying the character of Haseena, who was modeled after Dawood Ibrahim’s sister with the same name.
Shraddha stated that the movie, Haseena Parkar, didn’t garner much recognition during its cinema run. However, she noted that it was well-received on YouTube, with many viewers tuning in to watch the 2017 crime thriller on this platform.
Shraddha aspires to take on more character roles supported by the authors, expressing a desire to work closely with directors who will develop impactful characters for her in future projects.
Director Amar Kaushik is back in the director’s seat for “Stree 2”. The original cast of “Stree” has come together again for this new film. In addition to Shraddha, the cast includes Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi. The sequel is scheduled to release on August 15.
