Stree 2: Loved Aparshakti Khurana singing Soft Chitti Warm Chitti in film? Know how it's connected to THIS American sitcom

As someone who has spent countless hours binge-watching TV shows and movies, I must say that Stree 2 has truly outdone itself by incorporating references to iconic series like The Big Bang Theory. Being an ardent TBBT fan since its early days on American television, it was a delightful surprise to see the Soft Kitty Warm Kitty scene recreated in such a unique and humorous way.

In the recently released film “Stree 2” starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, there are numerous movie references that enhance the fun. One of the standout moments is Aparshakti Khurana’s character Bittu singing Soft Chitti Warm Chitti to lull his girlfriend to sleep. Interestingly, this song has its roots in a children’s tune called Soft Kitty Warm Kitty, which was featured prominently in the popular American sitcom “The Big Bang Theory.”

1. For 12 seasons, The Big Bang Theory, an American TV show that aired from 2007 to 2019, entertained audiences worldwide. After its massive success on satellite television, the series found a new fanbase in India through Netflix streaming. In this popular sitcom, Jim Parsons portrays Sheldon, who asks his friend’s girlfriend Penny (Kaley Cuoco) to sing Soft Kitty Warm Kitty when he’s unwell. The quirky dynamics between Sheldon and Penny, particularly his expectation of maternal care from her, create humorous scenarios. This scene is one of the most memorable moments in the series and has become a viral sensation on social media. Therefore, it was no shock that when Bittu sang Soft Kitty Warm Kitty for Chitti in Stree 2, TBBT fans were delighted.

1) The Big Bang Theory, developed by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, boasts Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch, and Mayim Bialik in key roles. On the other hand, Stree 2 has been a massive box office hit just days after its premiere. Directed by Amar Kaushik, it has raked in an impressive Rs 253 crore nett domestically within six days, making it the top-grossing Bollywood film of the year so far.

In addition to Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Aparshakti Khurana, the movie features Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee in prominent roles. Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Tamannaah Bhatia make special appearances in this film, which is a new addition to the Maddock Supernatural Universe. Previous installments of this cinematic universe include Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and Munja. The sequels planned for the universe are Stree 2, Vampires of Vijaynagar, Bhediya 2, and Stree 3.
