Stree 2 star Rajkummar Rao opens up on working with Shraddha Kapoor, Janhvi and Sonam; says THIS

As a lifestyle expert, I admire Rajkummar Rao’s grit and resilience in navigating the challenging world of Bollywood with minimal support from within the industry. His journey from minor roles to winning a National Film Award is inspiring and reflects his unwavering dedication to his craft.

Rajkummar Rao, through dedication and talent, transformed himself from supporting roles in films like “Rann” to receiving the National Film Award for Best Actor for the movie “Shahid” in 2012. Despite taking pride in his hard work and crafting characters with perspiration and passion, he acknowledged that his journey would have been smoother if he had backing from the industry. In a recent interview, the actor praised his co-stars Shraddha, Janhvi, and Sonam for their talents.

In an interview with Unfiltered by Samdish, Rajkummar Rao discussed his debut film and aspects of his personal and professional life. He also acknowledged the dedication of his co-stars Shraddha Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and Janhvi Kapoor during this chat. Notably, in a sincere appreciation, he described Janhvi and Shraddha as ‘dedicated workers’, having recently collaborated with Janhvi in Mr. & Mrs. Mahi and worked alongside Shraddha in Stree 2.

Speaking about his Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga co-star Sonam Kapoor, the seasoned actor expressed that she’s genuinely compassionate. Rao made this comment during a conversation about his experiences as an outsider in the film industry. He confessed that there are times when it isn’t easy and he wishes he had connections within Bollywood. If his family were part of the industry, he would have more support and his friends could help tackle many issues. However, since that’s not the reality, he must face challenges on his own and persevere through his struggles.

Additionally, he explained to the host that having contacts within the showbiz world would allow him to gain insights on film projects and have a mentor. He expressed his frustration with the excessive work required during film promotions, stating that if he had influential figures in the Indian film industry, they might have prevented him from doing tedious tasks. “At times, I feel as though having family members in the industry would advise the producers to ease up on the workload,” he said.

When questioned if any of his fellow actors had influential parents in the business, Rajkummar responded by saying that every actor he’s collaborated with is truly dedicated to their craft.
