Stree 2: Tamannaah Bhatia says doing Aaj Ki Raat song felt ‘very risky’ after Kaavaalaa's success; admits thinking ‘Will I be able to top...'

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood and Bollywood, I must say that Tamannaah Bhatia is truly a force to be reckoned with. Her latest track, Aaj Ki Raat, has left us all spellbound and sleepless, just as her character seems to have done to the characters in Stree 2. What makes her story even more captivating is her humble yet courageous approach to her craft.

Haven’t we just been captivated by Tamannaah Bhatia, who won our hearts so effortlessly in her latest track Aaj Ki Raat? This song has left many of her fans restless at night. Interestingly, it seems that Bhatia was initially hesitant to sing for Stree 2, and learning the reason behind this will only make us admire her more.

When talking to Grazia India, Tamannaah shared her apprehensions about taking on the song for Stree 2 following the success of Kaavaalaa, stating, “I wondered if I could surpass what I’ve previously achieved.” However, she was reassured by director Amar Kaushik who explained that this specific song is integral to the storyline. This instinctively resonated with her, and she decided to take on the role.

Right now, Aaj Ki Raat seems scattered, but Bhatia’s Kaavaalaa featuring the iconic Rajinikanth was a worldwide sensation last year. Lately, Tamannaah has been appearing in various films not just as main characters, but also making special guest appearances or extended scenes. Remarkably, she openly acknowledges this as a deliberate choice on her part.

The actress from Baahubali stated that she prefers not to be confined within specific roles and just as people began categorizing her as a typical neighbor girl, Tamannaah proactively selected characters that surprised everyone. She further mentioned, “I’ve never been concerned about the size of the role. My only goal was for people to recall me.”

In a short span after its debut, Stree 2 has been triumphantly well-received. The film features Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in significant roles. This horror-comedy is a collaborative effort between Maddock Films and Jio Studios, marking its place as the fifth chapter in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. It’s also the follow-up to Stree (2018).

Instead of saying Tamannaah was last seen in Vedaa which competed with Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein featuring Akshay Kumar at the box office, consider rephrasing it as: “Tamannaah’s most recent role was in Vedaa, a film that went head-to-head with Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein starring Akshay Kumar during their theater run.”
