To help you decide which Legend-rarity monsters are ideal for your strategy in Summoners War: Rush, here’s a handy tier list that breaks down the top picks for each role.
The best monsters in SWR
Before we get started, you need to understand that, if you’ve already played some other Summoners War games, chances are you will recognise a few of the monsters. Just like in other entries in the franchise, the rarity of a monster is incredibly important. There are five of them:
- Legend (the best)
- Unique
- Hero
- Elite
- Rare (the worst)
It’s more effective for you to concentrate on utilizing Legendary or Unique creatures, as Hero-level monsters don’t have enough power to compete with what’s needed to conquer a stage.

When it comes to who the best (and the worst) monsters to use are, our updated Summoners War Rush tier list will answer that question for you. Below and on the next pages, we have ranked the best Legend monsters.
1 S+ tier
- Sabrina
- Artamiel
- Melissa
- Cassandra
- Grogen
- Jeanne
For some time now, Sabrina has been unrivaled as the top monster in SWR. Despite the introduction of newer monsters, she continues to maintain her dominant position. In fact, her strength is so remarkable that she might warrant a tier all on her own. What’s more, she excels at targeting Tanks and deals an incredibly high amount of damage.
Jeanne is great thanks to her attack speed buff, and also because she can become invincible at 5*.
Melissa is a freshly introduced powerhouse monster who’s already ranked in S tier. Her abilities are so strong they’re hard to overlook. Her combat skills work particularly well with Artamiel and her third skill, Crescent Moon Slash, boosts the Critical Damage of all melee allies with the Amplify effect.
2 S tier
- Elucia
- Ceres
- Charlotte
- Rina
- Qitian Dasheng
- Shihwa
- Tesarion
Shihwa is an exceptional support character, enhancing the critical rate and critical damage of her ranged teammates through CRIT Rate UP and CRIT DMG UP abilities. What’s great about her is that you can acquire her for free along the Summoning Road, making her a valuable addition to your collection!
Tesarion is an excellent choice for dealing damage in battles, especially when he’s been leveled up. You might want to consider including him in your team. His special move, Blazing Bash, packs quite a punch against bosses, making him a valuable monster to use in challenging scenarios.
Among a small number of special creatures, Ceres stands out as one that can be used in gameplay, primarily due to her knack for inflicting the Blind status on opponents. This feature is crucial because it serves as an additional protective barrier, helping to preserve your frontline (and thus your entire squad) from harm. If you find yourself having trouble keeping your monsters safe, think about incorporating Ceres into your team as she’s relatively accessible to obtain.
3 A tier
- Ariel
- Lushen
- Verdehile
- Ophilia
- Delphoi
- Alicia
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but appreciate Ariel’s status as a mainstay in Summoners War. However, it seems he falls within the mid-tier category for me. What I love about him is his ability to weaken the enemy’s Attack, and his knack for shielding my allies with Archangel’s Blessing.
Delphoi excels particularly in Tower Defense strategies, however, her skills are limited beyond that aspect. She has the ability to put enemies into a slumber, bolster ranged teammates, and interestingly, she can dodge death once during each battle when she reaches level 5.
Alicia can be acquired at no cost along the Summoning Path, and she serves as an effective Area-of-Effect Damage Per Second (DPS). She’s capable of causing Freeze on adversaries, making her particularly effective against groups of enemies.
4 B tier
- Feng Yan
- Mei Hou Wang
- Vanessa
- Celestia
Mei Hou Wang functions as a close-combat monster, though his overall performance isn’t exceptional. However, he deals extra damage against frozen adversaries. If you’re aiming for a strategic combination, pair him with Alicia for optimal results!
Vanessa is a good choice for boss fights because she can increase the attack power of my melee allies and stun opponents at close range, which can prove beneficial in certain situations.
In this cosmic arena, Feng Yan, often likened to the Kung Fu Panda, stands as a formidable adversary due to his ability to reduce an opponent’s Critical Rate. Additionally, he boasts an immunity to Crowd Control (CC), which while valuable in player versus player (PvP) encounters, is less useful in the cooperative play environment (PvE).
5 C tier
- Lapis
- Galleon
- Tetra
- Chasun
At the lowest tier of our Summoners War Rush rankings, we find several Legend monsters that aren’t particularly impressive. Regrettably, monsters such as Tetra, Lapis, Galleon, and Chasun are not worth investing time or resources into, nor should they be your choice from the Summoning Road. Their usefulness is limited to the early stages of the game, with little value in the long term.
