In a recent conversation with The Lallantop, Suniel Shetty showered praise on his cricketer son-in-law, KL Rahul. When asked about his emotional state during Athiya Shetty’s wedding farewell ceremony, the actor admitted that he expected to shed tears but managed to maintain his composure instead.
He clarified his reasoning, saying, “Because when there’s uncertainty about where the daughter might end up in life, it brings out strong emotions. However, here I am certain she’s heading to a happier destination.
In a later conversation, the actor from Hera Pheri 3 shared that Athiya herself asked him about his lack of tears at her ‘bidaai.’ He then told her that he hadn’t shown emotion because he was confident in the cricketer’s ability to care for his daughter as well as he would have.
