Suniel Shetty makes it crystal clear: ‘No Paresh Rawal, No Hera Pheri 3’

As a dedicated follower of the Hera Pheri series, I’ve been following the recent uncertainty surrounding Hera Pheri 3 due to Paresh Rawal’s departure. Similar to what filmmaker Priyadarshan and others have expressed, I must admit that I too find myself in a state of ambiguity about the situation. However, it is undeniable that the absence of Baburao, played by Paresh Rawal, would make the movie incomprehensible, given the significant role his character plays in the narrative. In my view, it’s simply impossible for the film to proceed without him. The storyline heavily depends on his presence, so it can only have a 1% chance of happening without me and Akshay Kumar, but without Paresh ji, it cannot happen at all.

During an interview with ANI, Suniel Shetty shared his thoughts about Hera Pheri, stating that it’s hard to envision this movie without Paresh Rawal. He suggested that although the film may have a slight possibility of continuing without him or Akshay Kumar, it definitely can’t progress without Rawal involved.

Shetty highlighted that the relationship between Raju and Shyam is effective only when Baburao is involved, because it was Baburao who initially united them as tenants. He further explained that their synergy as a threesome was pivotal in creating the essence of Hera Pheri and its follow-up Phir Hera Pheri.

Overwhelmed by the unexpected announcement of Paresh Rawal leaving Hera Pheri 3, Suniel Shetty expressed his intention to contact him personally and investigate thoroughly to uncover the reasons behind this development.

Just as the crowd, he too was looking forward with great excitement to the release of the third part, where the cherished trio of Raju, Shyam, and Baburao would reprise their legendary characters.

Suniel Shetty shared during a chat with India Today that he found out about Paresh Rawal leaving Hera Pheri 3 from his kids, Athiya and Ahan Shetty, who are set to star in the upcoming film Border 2.

The actor remembered that they both sent him the news within 15 minutes, which left him wondering, ‘Papa, what is this?’ At that moment, Shetty was occupied with Kesari Veer interviews and confessed he was shocked when his Jungle Welcome co-star suddenly departed from the project unexpectedly.
