A well-known Bollywood actor, Suniel Shetty, is highly respected in the film industry and has recently made news by referring to Hera Pheri as a ‘patriotic movie’. However, off-screen, his life has taken a touching turn – he’s now a proud grandfather! His daughter, Athiya Shetty, along with cricketer KL Rahul, welcomed a beautiful baby girl. Suniel shared that he frequently finds himself pulling out his phone to gaze at the sweet pictures of his granddaughter.
In a recent conversation with ANI, Suniel candidly discussed his new role as a grandfather and expressed how profoundly the new arrival has affected him. When queried about the latest “superstar” joining the family, he responded, “He’s not just a superstar, but a super duper star.
Speaking about his special connection with his granddaughter, the actor from Hera Pheri 3 expressed that while Athiya holds a dear place in his heart, his grandchild has become even more cherished. He admitted that when he became a father, he would eagerly rush home. Suniel further explained, “I find myself yearning to view her photos. I frequently return to my phone just to glance at her pictures.
On March 24, 2025, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul caused quite a stir online when they announced the arrival of their little girl with a tender post: “We are overjoyed to introduce our new family member. Born on 24.03.2025, our hearts are filled with love – Athiya & Rahul.
On April 18th, KL Rahul shared a heartwarming Instagram post on his birthday, giving fans a first look at their new family member – his daughter. In the photo, he’s holding the tiny newborn, and Athiya watches her lovingly. The picture is so cute it shouldn’t be missed!
Parents happily shared photos, simultaneously unveiling their little girl’s name – Evaarah (इवारा). They affectionately referred to her as “A Gift from God,” decorating the announcement with lotus emoji symbols.
In terms of his acting career, Suniel Shetty will appear in an upcoming film titled Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath, alongside Sooraj Pancholi. Additionally, he is set to star in Hera Pheri 3 as well.
