2025 saw me, Suniel Shetty, entering a brand-new chapter in my life as I embraced the joy of being a grandfather for the first time! My darling daughter Athiya and her remarkable husband, KL Rahul, have named their little bundle of joy Evaarah. Overwhelmed with emotion, I’ve found myself eager to make up for the cherished moments I may have missed out on during my children’s younger years due to work commitments. Now, I can’t wait to share those special experiences with my granddaughter!
In a conversation with The Times of India, Suniel Shetty expressed that being a grandfather brings the most wonderful sensation. He disclosed that this was something he and his wife Mana Shetty had long aspired for. Overjoyed by the experience, he quoted an old saying, “Interest is more valuable than the principal,” indicating the profound joy it brings them.
In the course of our chat, Suniel shared his approach to organizing his day-to-day life, focusing on spending quality time with his grandchild. After wrapping up work, he expressed eagerness that borders on enthusiasm to return home and spend time with his wife and granddaughter, Evaarah. The actor referred to the little one as the most exhilarating aspect of his existence.
Suniel added, “Now, I wish to experience everything with my granddaughter that I believe I may have missed out on with Athiya and my son Ahan due to my busy work schedule. Time management has always been a challenge, but it’s more crucial now. To me, she’s like the second coming of Athiya.
On March 24, 2025, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul became proud parents to their daughter. In April, they gave their followers a peek at their bundle of joy through a heartwarming family picture, where they lovingly cradled their newborn.
