Legendary comedian Govinda is often celebrated for his hilarious roles in ’90s films. He’s been married to Sunita Ahuja for over 30 years, and she’s once again making headlines with her candid statements and fearless approach. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Sunita explained that the primary cause of their disagreements is due to others not allowing Govinda to fully appreciate his own value.
Sunita stated that Govinda not working is the sole cause of their conflicts. She expressed her frustration saying “You need to work, people are missing you. I’ve been telling you to lose weight at least 20 kgs. He told me six to seven years ago that he would show himself as Sylvester Stallone, since he is one of my favorite actors. I said that it’s not going to happen in this life, next time I want you to be my husband, not just a son.
I urged him to put in some effort, as the crowd is longing for your presence. Additionally, I suggested he sheds at least 20 kilos of weight. He mentioned years ago that he intended to lose weight and resemble Sylvester Stallone since he’s one of his favorite actors. I told him it’s highly unlikely he’ll achieve that in this lifetime. In the next life, I don’t want you as my husband but rather as my son.
Sunita Ahuja remarked that Govinda has been squandering his opportunities due to the negative influence of those in his social circle. She pointed out that these individuals steer him wrong, as they gain from his success as a Partner actor. Moreover, Ahuja suggested that he should be more discerning with directors to keep up with modern filmmaking trends. Govinda himself acknowledged that he’s still stuck in the ’90s, explaining why his return to the limelight has yet to happen.
In the same interview, Sunita stated that Govinda, the actor from Hero No. 1, becomes angry due to her straightforward criticism. She asserted, “You aren’t paying me to fawn over you. I am not here to flatter anyone, let alone their father.” This was the conclusion made by Govinda’s wife.
