Sunny Deol is beloved by millions of fans worldwide, yet off-screen, he’s a laid-back guy who prefers relaxing at home surrounded by soft teddy bears and going on family trips. Despite his strong image of being able to remove handpumps and apprehend criminals with his ‘250 kilo ka haath’, his modest nature required filmmakers to construct a new set for him to dance in a studio.
In an interview with Lallantop, Bollywood veteran Tiku Talsania reminisced about working alongside the reserved Sunny Deol. The actor from “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video” looked back to the past and explained why Sunny, famously known for his role in ‘Gadar’, refused to shoot on a bustling street in Shimla’s Mall Road. Talsania revealed that Sunny’s immense popularity and massive fan base were behind this decision.
When it was revealed that the Hungama 2 actor would be shooting a dance scene on a well-known street, his fans flocked there in great numbers. He then clarified, “Seeing the crowd, they turned thoughtful. They asked when it wouldn’t be today, but rather do it later.
Because the actor from Gadar 2 found it challenging to film with an audience, the producers ended up shooting the Mall Road scene in a studio instead, where they successfully captured the song. As Talsania stated, “He’s quite reserved and isn’t fond of receiving such attention.
Discussing Sunny Deol’s current projects, the Bollywood stalwart recently appeared in the hit Hindi movie Jaat from 2025. Coming up next for him is Lahore 1947 alongside Preity Zinta. In an exclusive interview with TopMob, Deol revealed that the film’s progress is slower due to Aamir Khan’s focus on achieving perfection.
The actor mentioned that the project might seem to take a bit longer due to the fact that Aamir Khan, being the producer, is striving for perfection in every aspect of editing.
In addition, Sunny will make an appearance in the Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi.
